💡 How File Recovery Works — Technical Overview

Step 1: Your file is uploaded through HTTPS directly to our secure server.

Step 2: The server analyzes the file to identify the type of protection (open password, editing restrictions, sheet protection, etc.). It then applies the appropriate decryption method based on the file format (PDF, Excel, Word, or PowerPoint).

Step 3: Once you complete the 1 PayPal payment, the server strips all restrictions and generates a temporary download link.

Step 4: You download your unlocked file. Both versions are permanently deleted from our servers within 1 hour.

Important: For PDFs with user passwords (password required to open), you need to know the password. For all other protection types (editing restrictions, sheet protection, modify passwords), we can remove them automatically.
